BigFix has established an Indian subsidiary, BigFix Software (India) Private Limited. Paladion announced that it is setting up an Application Security Testing Center of Excellence (CoE) built around HP Application Security Center software. The first of its kind Application Security Testing CoE in India, it will enable Paladion’s customers to reduce the risk of application security breaches by integrating the discovery and resolution of critical vulnerabilities into existing application design processes.
The CoE consists of dedicated infrastructure with experienced application security professionals who will develop Proof of Concepts (POC), methodologies and Best Practices based on HP Application Security Center.

| Delhi Stock Exchange teams up with IBM |
IBM announced that it has signed a 10-year information technology (IT) services agreement with Delhi Stock Exchange (DSE), one of the leading stock exchanges in India. As part of this Rs 11 crore agreement, IBM will provide business continuity and disaster recovery services to DSE as well as remotely host and manage its IT infrastructure. This will help the exchange meet the stringent business continuity guidelines as laid out by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) before it could resume its operations after a hiatus of six years. By engaging with IBM in a complete operational expenditure (pay-as-you-go) model, DSE will also save 100 percent capital expenditure on IT.
Signed in June 2009, this agreement demonstrates IBM’s focus to help clients ‘Do more with Less’ by engaging in an increasingly popular operational expense (opex) model. It also leverages IBM’s global experience of over 40 years to provide business continuity and resiliency services to help clients minimize the costs and time-frames associated with recovering business operations in the event of a disaster.

| IBM signs 10-year agreement with Innovation Auto Risk |
IBM announced that it has signed a 10-year information technology (IT) outsourcing agreement with Innovation Auto Risk, an established leader in the Indian market providing claims management services and other related solutions to insurers & fleet management companies. To support its growth and expansion plans, Innovation Auto Risk was seeking an IT solution provider that could supply and manage its IT infrastructure in a resilient yet cost-effective fashion.
As part of the agreement, IBM will deploy server, storage, networking and security IT infrastructure to be hosted at a data center in Delhi. IBM will provide 24x7 onsite infrastructure monitoring services from an onsite command centre. In addition, IBM will provide managed services and ongoing project management for infrastructure procurement, commissioning and configuration, as well as hardware refreshes after five years.

| IBM acquires Ounce Labs, Inc. |
IBM announced it has acquired Ounce Labs, Inc., a privately-held company based in Waltham, Massachusetts, whose software helps companies reduce the risks and costs associated with security and compliance concerns. IBM will integrate Ounce Labs, a leading provider of enterprise source code security testing, into its Rational software business. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Many software application vulnerabilities can be prevented or avoided by taking a preemptive approach to security. According to The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), 80% of development costs are spent identifying and fixing defects.(i) By allowing information technology (IT) teams to build security and compliance into the software development and delivery process, they can help prevent these issues from posing a greater risk to their organization and becoming highly costly to fix.
Ounce Labs technology will be offered as part of the IBM Rational AppScan family of Web application security and compliance testing solutions. The combined offering will provide a comprehensive solution for organizations concerned about correcting security vulnerabilities in applications before they go live. The Ounce Labs and Rational offerings allow IBM to provide application security analysis capabilities across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from coding to production.

Nandlall holds a BSC Engineering, First Division, Electrical Engineering, from the University of New Brunswick.

| Entrust Stockholders Approve Merger With Thoma Bravo |
Entrust announced at the Company's Special Meeting of Stockholders, the required supermajority of Entrust stockholders voted to approve the amended merger agreement with an affiliate of Thoma Bravo, LLC ("Thoma Bravo"), and the transaction has been completed.
Under the terms of the agreement, Entrust stockholders are entitled to receive $2.00 in cash for each share of Entrust common stock that they hold, without interest and less any applicable withholding taxes. Letters of transmittal allowing Entrust stockholders of record to deliver their shares to the paying agent in exchange for payment of the merger consideration will be distributed shortly after the closing. Stockholders who hold shares through a bank or broker will not have to take any action to have their shares converted into cash, as such conversions will be handled by the bank or broker.
With the closing of the transaction, Entrust stock will cease to trade on the NASDAQ at market close and will be delisted. Barclays Capital is acting as financial advisor to Entrust and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Professional Corporation is acting as Entrust's legal advisor.
