| SonicWALL unveils Aventail E-Class SRA |
SonicWALL has announced the SonicWALL Aventail E-Class Secure Remote Access (SRA), which delivers secure, easy-to-manage remote access control for the mobile enterprise. The Aventail E-Class SRA is built on the powerful SonicWALL Aventail SSL VPN platform, enabling it to provide access control by detecting the security of the end point, protecting applications and connecting authorized employees and business partners for up to 2,000 concurrent users from a single appliance.
The Aventail E-Class uses a three-pronged approach to provide complete end-user and network protection; Detect, Protect and Connect. SonicWALL's Recurring End Point Control (EPC) provides the administrator the ability to maintain network integrity through end-point security assessments at log-in and at regular intervals. With the capability to select the regularity of the scans, when the system detects a change in a device's security status, the session will be terminated automatically. This feature then prompts the user to log back in. Recurring EPC delivers NAC-level security by providing that the ongoing integrity of remote devices consistently adheres to corporate IT policy requirements.
Once connected, the IT manager can continue to provide optimum user experience while maintaining security through the use of SonicWALL's redesigned WorkPlace Portal. Additional features of the SonicWALL Aventail E-Class SRA series include: Broader Cross Platform Support; Enhanced Authentication; Zone Based Provisioning: Enabling administrators to extend control over what access agents are deployed based upon the remote user's End Point Control classification.

| NeoAccel adds DLP to SSL VPN-Plus appliance |
NeoAccel adds secure workspace feature to its SSL VPN-Plus appliance. Users of Remote Access working from non-managed end machines will receive a tighter end point security and cache control. Depending on the security and vulnerability level of the end machine from which the user tries to login to the SSL VPN appliance, a secure desktop with same look and feel of windows is created for the user wherein a specific section of hard disk is cordon off for storing all VPN data in a secure and encrypted manner.
Secure desktop provides secure access to customer classified information (eg. Credit Card) wherein a number of control can be exercised to block copy, delete, print operations or block access to Local LAN/USB/ CD drives/thumb drives/file share. This prevents customer classified data from being misused by anybody. For example in case of BPOs/KPOs this would provide an ideal secure access for processing of customers classified information.
Once the session is over or if the connection is interrupted, all record of data is erased from end users machine including clean up of browsers history, temporary internet file, remembered password, cookies, visited URLs etc. Security administrators can set the system for a range of settings, including duration before inactivity timeout is triggered, what cache clean-up is applied, whether the user can toggle from the Secure Desktop to a normal desktop, white list or black list set of applications inside secure desktop and whether the user can save information between sessions.
