| Adobe counteracts software piracy in India |
Adobe Systems Incorporated has launched one of its largest initiatives to battle software piracy working in collaboration with local law enforcement and government authorities across the country. Designed to curb software piracy across various industries, this initiative includes 25 civil enforcement actions recently conducted across six major cities and other key locations within India. Organizations suspected of unlawfully using Adobe software are potentially liable for both civil and criminal penalties, including payment of damages and undertaking actions to use fully licensed software only.
The enforcement actions recently undertaken on behalf of Adobe encompassed a broad cross section of users within commercial institutions, the IT and BPO industry, and other organizations dealing with creative content. Each year, software companies worldwide lose over $47 billion in revenue to piracy, according to research conducted by the Business Software Alliance.

| Check Point completes acquisition of Nokia security appliance business |
Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. announced it completed the acquisition of the Nokia security appliance business, a natural culmination of a twelve-year strategic partnership. In addition to Check Point UTM-1 and Power-1 appliances, businesses can purchase immediately through Check Point former Nokia IP hardware running Check Point security software.
Check Point is committed to preserving continuity for its customers and partners following the acquisition and plans on introducing, in the near future, a new line of all-inclusive IP appliances. The line of IP appliances will come pre-loaded with either Check Point R70, Check Point’s latest security gateway based on the innovative Software Blade Architecture, or Check Point NGX R65. In the mean time, Nokia IP appliances are now available from Check Point, eliminating the need for customers to obtain two separate licenses from two different vendors, easing procurement and deployment. Similarly, existing Nokia customer support contracts will be immediately supported by Check Point, including support for older platforms and OS versions.

| BT opens Asia Pacific security centre in India |
BT India announced the opening of its first ever BT Asia Pacific Security Operations centre (SOC) in India. The new SOC will initially employ over 30 highly skilled specialists, with a focus on both Asia Pacific and global customers. The SOC will provide security device management services involving critical customer components including firewalls, intrusion detection devices and Bluecoat Proxy devices used for securing networked-IT environments.
The new BT SOC centre will manage customers’ security environments, 24 hours a day, every day of the year for a number of customers within finance, retail, and manufacturing sectors delivering incident, change, configuration and problem management services working alongside BT’s European and Americas Security Operations Centres. This will create a BT global “Follow-the-Sun” SOC customer service platform.
Speaking on the announcement, Mr Sudhir Narang, Managing Director BT India said “The BT SOC centre is another measure of BT’s support and service to customers globally. We want customers to be able to change configuration and tackle problem management services which are engineered to BT’s legendary quality standards.”
BT’s current resourcing plan is to expand the number of SOC analysts from the current 30+ number by the end of 2009 to support a growing number of customers as well as an expansion in the types of service offered from the BT India SOC.

| Entrust to be acquired by Thoma Bravo |
Entrust announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by an affiliate of Thoma Bravo, LLC in a transaction with a total equity value of $114 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Entrust’s shareholders will receive $1.85 in cash for each share of Entrust common stock they hold, representing a premium of approximately 22.4 percent over Entrust’s average closing share price of $1.51 during the 30 trading days ending April 9, 2009 and 25.8 percent over Entrust's average closing share price of $1.47 during the 90 trading days ending April 9, 2009.
The transaction is subject to customary conditions to closing, including the approval of Entrust stockholders and requisite regulatory approvals. There is no financing condition to the obligations of Thoma Bravo to consummate the transaction, and equity and debt commitments for the merger consideration have been received. The agreement contains a provision under which Entrust may solicit alternative proposals from third parties during the next 30 calendar days.

| BSNL selects Connectiva ONEREViEW |
Connectiva Systems Inc., a leading provider of revenue and risk management solutions for the telecommunications industry, announced that it has been awarded contracts by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and HCL Infosystems, for an end-to-end revenue management system that will be deployed at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the largest wireline telecom operator in India.
Connectiva will install its award-winning revenue management solution ONEREViEW at BSNL over a period of 24 months. This will enable BSNL to detect, correct, and recover leaks along the entire revenue chain for its wireline operations across India.

Rolta recently inaugurated its new state-of-the-art development and delivery centre in the newly constructed multistoried building at SEEPZ-SEZ, Andheri East, Mumbai. This facility has the capacity to seat 1500 persons in each shift, and is fully equipped with cutting edge computing systems and software platforms, dedicated high-speed data communications network, and backup power sources to provide reliable and cost-effective offshore services to the Company’s global customers. The integrated facilities also have large training rooms, customer care centres, and auditoriums.
This new facility is also in close proximity to Rolta Technology Park in MIDC, Andheri East, Mumbai, which houses the company’s global headquarters and its Geospatial/GIS, Engineering Design, and Enterprise Information and Communications Technology development and delivery centres.
